XXXTentacion’s 2017 Debut Album, “17,” Reaches Over 5 Billion Spotify Streams

XXXTentacion was tragically shot and killed in home area of Broward County, in June 2018. It’s been three years already, as fans continue to honor the late rapper, by streaming his music. He was only 20 at the time of his death.

One of his biggest projects to date, is his debut studio album, “17.” This album was put out in 2017, as it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. It was led by the singles “Revenge,” “Jocelyn Flores,” and “F*ck Love,” feat. Trippie Redd. 11 tracks were included in total.

Now, 17 has reached another impressive milestone. According to Chart Data, it has now reached over 5 billion streams on Spotify. Currently, it is also 2x platinum in the US. It also has platinum certifications in Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, and New Zealand. The 5 billion streams mark on Spotify continues to show that X’s memory is alive and well, and shows how much of a star he was and how much bigger he could’ve been.

X’s last album ended up being released in December 2019, which was “Bad Vibes Forever.” That ended up debuting at number five on the Billboard 200.

“Lovers And Friends” Festival To Finally Make Its Debut in Las Vegas, in May 2022; Headliners Include Usher, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Lauryn Hill, TLC, Brandy, Monica, Lil Kim, Fabolous, and More

In early 2020, fans were teased about a very star-studded, and nostalgic festival, which was Lovers And Friends. This unfortunately didn’t end up happening, due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. This festival was also initially planned to take place in Los Angeles.

Now, Lovers and Friends is finally a reality, as the festival announced on their Instagram page that they are coming in 2022. These will take place on May 14. The official lineups were also revealed, with many of the same stars that were supposed to perform in 2020 being listed. The venue that will host Lovers and Friends is the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

Among the performers include Usher, Lil Jon, Ludacris (The three who originally released the “Lovers and Friends” song), Lauryn Hill, TLC, Ciara, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Fabolous, Monica, Brandy, and more. Registration is now available for the presale access, that will take place on August 2, at 10AM PT. All tickets start at $19.99 down.

Sammy, Keyshia Cole's brother, said his sisters hadn't spoken to Frankie in yearsCurrently, Keyshia Cole’s family is in upheaval, since their mother, Frankie, has died. Anyone who has ever gone through the loss of a mother, or mother figure, should understand. Cole’s brother, Sammy, has spoken out, with choice words for his sisters.

Keyshia Cole rose to fame and also did a reality show, where she aired out her personal business. At this point, the whole world knows who Cole is and where she and her family come from. Dysfunction came natural, to the Cole family, and it’s in overdrive, with their mother gone.

Sammy did not mention any names, but he said Frankie hadn’t heard from some of her daughters, in years. Then, he also mentioned that his mother didn’t want a lot of people and cameras, later saying there will be no funeral. Also, Sammy said he spoke out of anger, and that he loves all of his family.

Nas Announces Sequel To 2020 “King’s Disease” Album, Coming on August 6

Last year, Nas put out his first album in over three years, with “King’s Disease.” That project ended up being one of the biggest albums of the year, as it debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart, and also won a Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2021 GrAMMYs. This was Nas’ first ever Grammy win.

King’s Disease contained 13 tracks in total, with collabs from A$AP Ferg, Big Sean, Foxy Brown, Lil Durk, and more. The lead singles was “Ultra Black,” feat. Hit-Boy, which seemed to many as having a Doja Cat diss in it. “Spicy” feat. A$AP Ferg and Fivio Foreign was also another banger. Overall, King’s Disease was viewed as a hip-hop masterpiece to fans.

Now, the hip-hop legend is returning with the sequel to King’s Disease, a little over a year after the original release date. Nas took to Instagram this afternoon, to announce that “King’s Disease 2” will be released on August 6.
