Live Nation Will Require Vaccinations Or Negative COVID-19 Tests, To Attend Concerts, Starting in October

Concerts have been back in full swing this spring and summer, after COVID-19 vaccines became widely available to the general public in the US. Major festivals such as Rolling Loud and Lollapalooza have also been successful, over the past month, in their return.

Lollapalooza mandated that attendees be vaccinated or have negative COVID-19 tests and now, Live Nation will be doing this for their concerts as well, according to a spokesperson.

This rule will apply for artists, crews, and concert-goers, and will go into effect, on October 4. These mandates are expected to take place for many other concerts in the US moving forward as well.

“Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows, and as of October 4th we will be following the model we developed for Lollapalooza and requiring this for artists, fans and employees at Live Nation venues and festivals everywhere possible in the US,” Live Nation president and CEO Michael Rapino said in a statement.

Thankfully, concerts continue to make a strong return. There are plenty of festivals and tours coming up that fans can look forward to, such as Rolling Loud New York and California, and Lil Baby’s “The Back Outside Tour” and J. Cole’s “The Off-Season Tour.”
