Legendary producer, rapper, and entrepreneur Dr. Dre is in the ICU.

According to TMZ, Dr. Dre, real name Andre Romelle Young, suffered a brain aneurysm on Monday, January 5th. He was then rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

According to sources the publication talked to, the legendary artist is in stable condition. As of now, it is unclear what caused the bleeding. As soon as the news was reported, members of the hip-hop community shared prayers and best wishes for Dre. Ice Cube, his son O’Shea Jackson Jr., Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, and fans all around the world all sent out their support on social media.

A couple of minutes before 11 PM EST, Dr. Dre posted an update on his Instagram. In the post, he wrote that he was “doing great” and “getting excellent care” from his medical team.

Dre, who is 55 years old, is currently in the middle of a nasty divorce with his longtime wife, Nicole Young. TMZ recently reported that Young filed papers claiming that Dre has $262 million available to him in cash and Apple stock. Young is seeking $2 million a month in spousal support plus an additional $5 million to cover her various legal fees. He has balked at this deal, calling the demands “ridiculous.” The two have been married since 1996.

This news also comes as it was revealed that Dre, alongside partner longtime partner Jimmy Iovine, is planning on opening a new school in South Los Angeles. The school is being called an “extension” of the University of Southern California Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy, which was launched in 2013. The school is partially being funded by the money Iovine made selling his producer catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Fund. (It has not been announced how much Iovine sold his catalog for.)
